Trial Law
We Have The Legal Experience, Knowledge & Dedication Needed To Win Your Case.
We bring to our partnerships with our clients not only a wealth of legal experience and knowledge, but also a dedication to fighting with all of the strategic talent and tools we have available.
Federal, State & Local Discrimination Laws
These laws prohibit discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, age, disability, religion, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity. They also prohibit retaliation for complaining of discrimination or harassment or for participating in an investigation into discrimination or harassment.
Common Law Protections for Employees
These laws protect employees against retaliation or discharge for exercising certain basic rights, such as filing a claim for workers’ compensation benefits, objecting to illegal activity, or reporting a serious safety concern.
And Other Statutes
Other statutes also protect employees, including those who exercise their constitutional rights, need to take medical leave, or are veterans, among others. Wage payment laws enforce employees' rights to minimum wage and overtime pay.
Protecting your rights as an employee.
Every employee has the right to work in an environment free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. When those basic civil rights are violated, we are prepared to apply our experience and insight to restore the employee to their previous position or get them compensation for violations of any available federal, state and local civil rights and employment laws. We also represent employees who need to negotiate or challenge a non-compete agreement or other employment contract.
Our dedication to each of our clients includes developing a trusting and compassionate relationship and regular communication about their case. It also includes an extensive investigation into their claims, vigorous advocacy during the litigation process, and the skilled presentation of their case at trial, as well as experienced advice as to when to appeal a case. We have won important victories for employees at trial and before the State and federal appellate courts.
While not all terminations or harassment provide a basis for a lawsuit, we are prepared to make an initial evaluation of an employee’s potential claim without charge. Please call our office and ask to speak to one of our trained staff members who will conduct an initial interview.
